The Cottage Series - Putz Village Kit, DIY Flat Pack Chipboard Houses, 4-Piece Set
A vintage-inspired set of four Christmas cottages for you to assemble and decorate.
This putz village kit includes die cut and scored chipboard pieces, translucent door and window sheets, and instructions for assembly. The chipboard is 1mm thick, is acid free, and will accept craft paint, glue and glitter.
There are four houses in the set:
The Cozy Cottage: 4 chipboard pieces, finished size 3 inches tall, 2 1/8 inches wide, and 2 inches deep.
The English Cottage: 4 chipboard pieces, finished size 3 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and 1 5/8 inches deep.
The Coastal Cottage: 3 chipboard pieces, finished size 3 1/8 inches tall, 2 5/8 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches deep.
The Storybook Cottage: 5 chipboard pieces, finished size 3 5/8 inches tall, 2 1/8 inches wide, and 2 1/4 inches deep.
These houses feature a 1" hole in the back for inserting LED fairy lights (not included,) which will illuminate the doors and windows.
You will want to use a fast-drying glue such as Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue, or Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue to assemble the pieces.
This kit makes four houses, and it comes packaged flat, and unassembled.

Orders are processed in 1-3 business days from our warehouse in Portage, Indiana.
US Postal Service transit times:
- First Class & Ground Advantage: avg 4-8 days
- Priority Mail avg 2-4 days.
UPS Ground transit times:
- 5-7 avg business days
All US shipments include tracking.
There is no order fulfillment on weekends or holidays. Overnight shipping is not currently available.

Free shipping offer is for standard, non-expedited shipping for orders with US delivery addresses only. To qualify, an order must have an item subtotal of $75 after any discounts have been applied. The shipping warehouse is fast and efficient. In order to maintain quick processing, they are not able to combine orders or make changes. If you place multiple orders, they will be shipped separately, in separate boxes, and additional shipping charges are not refunded.
It is important to carefully review your order before checkout to make sure you have everything you need.
- International shipments up to 4 pounds in weight are sent via standard shipping. We are not able to foresee, or accept responsibility for, any customs delays or additional costs within your country. Note that there is no insurance associated with international deliveries, and shipping times vary from country to country with possible delays. Tracking is not always available for international shipments.
- Currently shipping is not available to the UK or Germany due to specific VAT requirements and packaging taxes, respectively.
- EU orders will be charged VAT upon import. You will need to coordinate your VAT payment with the delivery service. Customs forms reflect the full value of the items, regardless of sales or specials. Smile Mercantile is not responsible for shipments sent back due to unpaid VAT.
